THE DEVASTATIONS The Night I Couldn’t Stop Crying < An eclectic Australian band with a lead singer who sounds and looks so much like a young Nick Cave. I think they ended up running away to Berlin, but they were such a great live band when I saw them back in around 2005 or so. Their album ‘Coal’ is absolutely stunning.

GENTLE BEN AND HIS SENSITIVE SIDE Beginning of the End < Very cool and dapper Brisbane band from Australia. Ben Corbett is also one of the frontmen of SixFtHick. I love his style. He’s a very talented frontman.

DAVE McCORMACK AND THE POLAROIDS featuring BEN CORBETT (from SixFtHick, and Gentle Ben and His Sensitive Side) cover ‘I’m Bored’. Not only is Ben Corbett possibly the best frontman I’ve ever seen in any band ever, this video is a perfect example of why I think that’s so. He gives 110% no matter what he’s doing, even if he’s singing a cover in someone else’s band. Also potentially shows the less glamorous side of Australian pub gigs ;)

watching | the novocaines : adhere to (@thenovocaines)

watching | the clouds : bower of bliss. saw this band perform tonight for the first time since the early / mid ’90s, and they are still incredible. was i the only person who paid just to see the clouds and left before the wonder stuff and jesus jones performed? probably not. these clouds girls inspire devotion. talent’s funny like that.
